Frank John, Jr. is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, Asset Analyst and Consultant who is licensed in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. He has a stellar reputation for doing outstanding appraisal business with his clients, most of whom include some of the nation’s largest national and regional mortgage lenders.
He has also served as an expert witness for AARP, Washington, DC government and some of Washington’s top legal firms including Hogan Lovells & Dickstein & Shapiro. He has appeared in the Washington Informer, Washington Post and on CNBC and discussed changes in the appraisal industry.
Frank John has completed thousands of appraisals in the Mid-Atlantic region where he specializes in non-lender appraisals.
He founded Washington Appraisal in 1993 after a successful 10-year career at IBM as an Account Marketing Representative. He was a member of a team that supported one of IBM’s largest customers: Bell Atlantic, which is now known as Verizon. His team generated more than a $100 million in revenue on an annual basis in the early 1990’s. He began investing in real estate while still working at IBM.
Frank John is a graduate of Howard University School of Business. He is also included in the Who’s Who of Finance and Industry.
An active member of his community, Frank currently sits on the board of APPEAL, Inc. and is a member of the American Guild of Appraisers (OPEIU- Office of Professional Employees International Union, AFL-CIO)
